Sorel Have Introduced Their Most Contemporary Men’s Footwear With Styles That Reflect The Most Discerning Lifestyles
If you are not familiar with footwear brand Sorel, then you maybe more familiar with their iconic Caribou boot. A meaty looking hybrid of a practical snow boot and functional hiking boot. Since Sorel footwear hit the Canadian market back in 1962, it fast tracked its popularity thanks to their boots incorporating hardwearing design features, not least its warming insulation and solid traction on the soles.
The Caribou has seen various incarnations over the decades, but its style DNA has stayed true to its original design. This is all well and good for those of us faced with the harsher winter environments of incessant rain showers and snowfall. I can testify to the fact, the Caribou is a sound investment, having owned my pair for over a decade, they come out every winter without fail. That maybe due to the fact I live in rural Wales, notorious for its unrepentant wet weather. Thankfully for town dwellers and city types, Sorel have introduced a range of fresh styles into their new autumn winter 2020 collection.
A collection more suited to the urban environment, such as the Mad Brick, Kezar and the Mac Hill. While more directional on style, they still absorb the best of Sorel’s tough hardware with custom welt designs and alternating lug designs which promote deflection, an important functional addition to create optimal traction and cushion from the sole.
You won’t find the new line of footwear, aimed at urban folk compromising on durability, having built its reputation on delivering long lasting footwear for decades. Whether it’s the waterproof Kezar Chukka boot or the Madson Hiker boot, both will take on a concrete jungle or a mountain terrain with equal measure. Now made out of Portland, Oregon, they continue to practice sustainable manufacturing processes and place a solid emphasis on ethical values, making them as relevant today as when they first launched over half century ago.
